Our Graduate Employability

                          A 5-Year Comparison

Preparing Future Ready Graduates

The findings from the latest CPE Graduate Employability Survey (GES) conducted in 2022/23 indicated a lower employability rate, with 59.6% of graduates securing permanent placements within six months of graduation. Despite this, MDIS graduates are still in demand among employers, albeit with the lower overall employment rate. This underscores the importance of MDIS' multi-disciplinary education, industry exposure, and internship experiences in equipping students with essential interpersonal and professional skills for the job market.

Career Assistance

MDIS’ Career Assistance Unit (CAU) proactively helps students with relevant career services to increase their chances of landing a job before graduation. Career services include career guidance, talks by industries experts, industry visits, annual career fair and “CareerHub” an exclusive career portal. To-date, the CareerHub portal has more than 1,300 registered companies offering employment and internship opportunities and has reached out to over 3,000 students and alumni.

A recent Indonesian graduate from our MBA in Banking and Finance, awarded by Bangor University in UK shared, “Even before completing my studies, I had already received an offer as a Business Development executive at Hashmicro Pte Ltd, which I applied through MDIS’ CareerHub portal. I have MDIS to thank for providing this platform to enable us (students) to find job opportunities.”

Our annual career fairs are partaken widely by employers from various sectors. In 2023, at our Career Fair themed “Skills Employers Seek”, we have employers from Homage, Fullerton Hotel, The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore, Kingsmen Exhibit Pte Ltd, Angel Manufacturing Pte Ltd. Participants also get to attend industry talks to prepare themselves with the relevant skills to land a job. Workshops lined up for the Career & Skills Discovery Fair 2023 were namely, Career Initiative & Engagement, Building Resilence, Design Thinking and Be the Hire Your Desired Employer Is Seeking.
