Programme Objectives
The overall aims of the programme are to:
- Produce graduates who are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the rapidly changing discipline of cybersecurity and networks, and appreciate its growing impact on modern living.
- Produce graduates who will uphold the legal, ethical and professional standards expected of a cybersecurity and networks specialist.
- Enable students to acquire a range of practical, professional and transferable skills to equip them to contribute to their chosen profession in cybersecurity or computer networks, or to pursue further studies.
- Enable students to engage with current research issues to consolidate their knowledge base and understanding of currently available technologies and emerging trends in cybersecurity and computer networks.
- Develop students’ cognitive and critical reflection skills to equip them for enterprise, employment and further academic research.
- Provide an industry and commercially relevant web production education for students from a variety of subject backgrounds and/or employment experience utilising appropriate modes of study.

For Year 1 entry
- MDIS International Foundation Diploma in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Art OR
- At least two GCE 'A' Levels OR
- Relevant foundation diploma qualifications in Information Technology related disciplines awarded by other Private Education Institutions (PEIs) (equivalent to pathway programme) with an entry requirement of 10 years of formal education OR
- MDIS International Foundation Diploma in Information Technology
For Year 2 entry
- MDIS Higher Diploma in Information Technology OR
- MDIS Higher Diploma in Ethical Hacking and Forensic Investigations Countermeasures OR

To enter at Year 2, applicants must possess an MDIS Higher Diploma or other relevant diploma level qualifications in IT. To enter at Year 3, applicants will require a relevant local/overseas polytechnic diploma in IT-related disciplines or a Higher Diploma level qualification in the same field.
To qualify for the Bachelor of Science (Hons) Cybersecurity and Networks programme, applicants should hold an MDIS Foundation Diploma in IT or those from other PEIs, or have completed at least two GCE 'A' Levels subjects. To enter at Year 2, applicants must possess an MDIS Higher Diploma or other relevant diploma level qualifications in IT. To enter at Year 3, applicants will require a relevant local/overseas polytechnic diploma in IT-related disciplines or a Higher Diploma level qualification in the same field.
Full-time students entering at Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 will take 24, 16 and 8 months respectively to complete the cybersecurity degree. Part-time students entering at Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 will complete the degree in 36, 24 and 12 months respectively.
Upon completion of the course in Singapore students can pursue a profession in the cybersecurity, banking and finance, manufacturing, transportation and telecommunications industries, among many other opportunities.
The Bachelor of Science (Hons) Cybersecurity and Networks degree is globally recognised.
Students who have prior knowledge in science-related disciplines (i.e. a Diploma in Biomedical Sciences/Biotechnology/Life Sciences) may apply.
Students with relevant polytechnic diplomas and other diploma level qualifications in science-related disciplines are eligible, subjected to the University’s approval.
