Building International Ties: MDIS and ZJTIELatest News

In June 2018, MDIS and Zhejiang Technical Institute of Economics (ZJTIE) celebrated their 6th cohort of graduates from the Advanced Diploma in International Trade and Commerce and Advanced Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management. A total of 89 graduands received their conferment certificates to mark their academic success. MDIS President, Dr Eric Kuan and ZJTIE President, Professor Shao Qing Xiang congratulated and proudly presented the certificates to the pool of cheerful graduates.

MDIS has established a successful cooperative relationship with ZJTIE over the past decade. MDIS and ZJTIE have jointly developed the Advanced Diploma programmes that have been offered in ZJTIE since 2011 with a recruitment of over 800 students to-date.

In addition, both institutions have also organised summer camps and cultural exchange workshops for students, and training programmes for teachers in Singapore. In line with the agreement, ZJTIE students and staff will continue to enjoy the benefits of their annual camps and cultural exchange workshops and training in Singapore. With the near completion of a successful decade of collaborations, MDIS will continue to explore new challenges with other educational establishments.
