Covid-19 Post-pandemic Era
Despite the onset of Covid-19 in 2020, MDIS successfully celebrated the MDIS-Teesside University Graduation Ceremony 2020 on 11 January 2020. The event was graced by the Guest-of-Honour, Professor Lui Pao Chuen, MDIS Senate Member, Adviser, National Research Foundation Prime Minister’s Office, Singapore and Professor Paul Croney, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive, Teesside University and its faculty representatives, MDIS management and staff.
To better equip students for a future of increasingly complex challenges, MDIS also offers new multi-disciplinary industry relevant 4.0 programmes to support students’ employment and career mobility.
On 15 February 2020, the 3rd MDIS-Leeds Beckett University Graduation Ceremony 2020 was held with more than 200 graduates and guests. The graduation event was graced by the Guest-of-Honour, Her Excellency Kara Owen CVO, British High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore and Leeds Beckett University representatives, MDIS management and staff.
The well-being of our students and staff are of utmost importance, and MDIS adheres strictly to the government’s health and safe management measures to ensure their good health.
Post-pandemic era 2020 and beyond, Covid-19 has altered the way in which we live, work and interact, and brought on modifications to every facet of society, including the education and learning system. At MDIS, flexibility and adaptability remains an indefinite priority and focus in providing for students’ educational goals. The institute has adopted new and novel ways of teaching, marketing programmes and recruiting students through virtual fairs and online activities, and in delivering hybrid lessons blending face-to-face classroom learning with online learning.
We remain resolute in our strategies to evolve and adapt to the post-pandemic era and determined to ride the wave of challenges in preparing learners for the 21st century.
